We are excited that our Virtual Florida TRIO Olympics is just one month away! We have an exciting lineup of competitions and activities in store.
Academic Competitions We are giving our students an opportunity to flex their brain power through a series of team and individual academic challenge events. These classic Florida TRIO events have the same structure as always but have been modified to fit the virtual environment. There are three feature events for three different participant populations, middle school Talent Search, high school Talent Search, and Upward Bound. The winners of the featured competitions will represent Florida at the 2021-2022 SAEOPP Student Initiatives. § Featured Events:
Virtual Gaming Competitions: Taking the Olympics virtual has opened a whole realm of fun new opportunities for our students to compete. With the help of our Florida TRIO Student Government Associations, we have chosen games on various platforms to suit varied interests.
Social Arcade: The Social Arcade will be open during every competition time. This space aims to provide a place for non-competing students to interact, build relationships, and participate in the Olympics. § Community Service reading Zooms § College Fair § Non-Competitive Virtual Games
